Duckman was an alive sitcom developed by Jeff Reno & Ron Osborn, based on characters created by Everett Peck in his Dark Horse comic. A series consisted of Lxx episodes airing from either 1994 to 1997 on the USA Network. A initial showrunners were Reno & Osborn, and the show was produced by Paramount Television. A animation was by Klasky Csupo, a company owned by Gabor Csupo and Arlene Klasky, though Csupo and Klasky themselves got little day-after-day-to-day involvement in the indicate. Within later on years, a showrunning duties attend David Misch and Michael Markowitz. A music for 1st year episodes was composed & performed by Frank Zappa.

the series followed a dangerous undertaking of a dim-half-witted & lewd private detective duck who lived with his personal & sister inside-relative-in-law known as Bernice (an identical twin to his married woman). Duckman's married woman, Beatrice, died prior to a indicate began. Inside the surprise twist, it's revealed that Bernice & Beatrice got a triplet known as Beverely which around 1 episode, Duckman without aim chased when believing his dead married woman got returned from either the grave.

A title character, whose mysterious number 1 title was afterwards revealed to exist as Eric, was voiced by Jason Alexander, most famous when Seinfeld's George Costanza. More characters involved his ii sons, Charles and Mambo, whose heads shared the equivalent system (voices: Dana Hill (until her untimely dying), followed by Pat Musick, and Elizabeth Daily respectively); his eldest teen boy, Ajax (voice: Dweezil Zappa), and his mildly Joe Friday-esque business partner, an amazingly gifted pig known as Cornfed (voice: Gregg Berger). Nancy Travis voiced the characters of triplet sisters Bernice, Beverly, & Beatrice, Duckman's ii sisters-inside-law, & (purportedly) asleep married woman, severally.

More characters on the series involved Fluffy & Uranus (voice: Pat Musick), Duckman's two teddy-bear-prefer professional supporter world health organization, despite existence constantly flushed, maimed, or even otherwise tortured, universally saved an attitude suprisingly such as that of the Care Bears; Grandma-ma, Duckman's apparently comatose mother-in-law; & King Chicken (voice: Tim Curry), Duckman's arch-nemesis.

A indicate regularly featured high-profile guest stars, including David Duchovny, Heather Locklear, Burt Reynolds, Carl Reiner, Lisa Kudrow, Leonard Nimoy, Ben Stiller, Ben Stein, Janeane Garofalo, and Dan Castellaneta as Homer Simpson.

Duckman's catchphrase involved "What the hell are you starin' at?", "Hommina hommina how wah." & his trademark scream of "Dwah!".

In the final episode, several characters hook up with & when the ceremonies draw to a close, Beatrice (Duckman's gone married woman) appears & shocks a entire crowd. Cornfed reveals he knew that Beatrice was alive right along. This plot twist is never resolved & has so created the cliffhanger.

Writer Michael Markowitz noted (within Sep 1998): "We never formally planned Part II... and I'll never tell what I personally had in mind. I'm hoping to leave it to my heirs, for the inevitable day when Duckman is revived by future generations. Ah, the Spandex suits they'll wear, the hovercrafts they'll fly!"
